Waukesha, Wis. – March 12, 2020 – Katy’s Kloset, an all-volunteer lending library of good, used, and durable medical equipment for children and adults, today announced the temporary suspension of its operations. The organization issued the following statement today regarding the matter:

“Katy’s Kloset, a service of Team Up! With Families, has suspended operations until further notice due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

We apologize for the inconvenience for the members of the community that we serve.

Early information out of China, where COVID-19 first started, shows that the people at higher risk of getting very sick from this illness includes people with serious chronic medical conditions which is a majority of the people that we serve.

Katy’s Kloset is an all-volunteer organization. This action is necessary for the safety of our volunteers and the customers that we serve. We will not be accepting returns or donations of equipment during this time. We will not be accepting phone or email reservations for equipment or returning requests for information regarding equipment during this time.

Please check our website at www.teamupwithfamilies.org for updated information.

Again, we apologize for this inconvenience and we look forward to opening our doors when we are confident doing so is safe for the vulnerable community we serve.”
